Getting started

What is tabled?

An app for planning the week’s dinners with the people you live with. Everyone swipes on meal ideas, the ones you all like become your plan, and you get one shopping list.

Is it free?

Yes, while we’re in beta, for your whole household. If that changes, we’ll tell you well in advance.

What phones does it work on?

Any iPhone or Android phone, in the browser. Add it to your home screen and it works like an app, with notifications. An App Store version is coming.

How do I add my partner or family?

The household’s lead shares an invite link from Household. It works once, lasts 7 days, and the lead approves each person before they can see anything.

Do kids need an account?

No. Count them when you set up the week and portions scale to match. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over.

Planning and shopping

What if we don’t match on enough meals?

Deal more cards, or let Auto-fill use the meals most of you liked. You can always add a favourite by hand.

Can someone sit a week out?

Yes. When you set up the week, untick anyone who’s away. Only the people ticked need to swipe.

Does the list work in a shop with no signal?

Yes. Ticks are saved on your phone and sync when you’re back online.

Can I share a recipe with a friend?

Yes. Share a link, or a recipe card image for Instagram or WhatsApp. It never shows who shared it.

Safety and privacy

How does tabled handle allergies?

Add allergies and dietary needs once, and meals that don’t suit everyone are left out. Allergen information is a guide, so always check labels.

Do you use AI?

Yes, Claude from Anthropic suggests meals, writes recipes and sorts your list, but only once everyone in your household agrees. It never receives your name or email.

Where is my data kept?

In the EU (Paris). You can download everything or delete your account from Household, at any time.

Do you sell my data?

No. Never, and there are no adverts or tracking cookies.
